ON FEBRUARY 25, 2019, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 345, AS AMENDED.<br /> <br /> AMENDMENT #1 removes language from this amendment that suggested authorization from a general sessions judge or other official would be required for an otherwise-authorized official to administer an oath of office to an elected or appointed official.<br /> <br />
