Amends TCA Section 67-5-514.
For purposes of calculating property taxes, present law designates the comptroller of the treasury as the assessor of telecommunications tower properties used in whole or in part for telecommunications whether or not the telecommunications tower property is owned by a public utility company. This bill specifies that the comptroller is the assessor only for those telecommunications tower properties owned by a public utility company.<br /> <br />
