Amends TCA Title 7 and Title 68.
ON APRIL 1, 2019, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 179, AS AMENDED.<br /> <br /> AMENDMENT #1 adds a requirement that hospital authorities to which this bill applies make public arrangements for employment or the provision of labor or services between a trustee or former trustee and the authority, adds a severability clause to this bill, and changes the effective date of this bill from upon becoming a law to July 1, 2019.<br /> <br /> Under this amendment, hospital authorities must make public arrangements for employment or the provision of labor or services between a trustee or former trustee and the authority by posting on the authority's website, if the authority has a website, and by newspaper publication. If the arrangement exists as of July 1, 2019, posting and publication must be made by August 1, 2019. If the arrangement is entered after July 1, 2019, posting and publication must be made within three business days of finalizing that arrangement.<br /> <br />
