ON MARCH 25, 2019, THE SENATE SUBSTITUTED HOUSE BILL 447 FOR SENATE BILL 115, ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1, AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 447, AS AMENDED.<br /> <br /> AMENDMENT #1 revises the present law attendance requirements for members of the trial court vacancy commission. Under present law, if a commission member "misses four commission meetings during the member's term", the office is considerate vacated. This amendment revises the attendance requirement so that the office will be considered vacated if the member "has four unexcused absences from commission hearings during the member's term of office."<br /> <br />
