ON APRIL 1, 2019, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENTS #1 AND #2 AND REFERRED SENATE BILL 116 TO THE STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE.<br /> <br /> AMENDMENT #1 changes the sunset date to June 30, 2023.<br /> <br /> AMENDMENT #2 adds a requirement that the Tennessee advisory commission on intergovernmental relations (TACIR) study the effectiveness of Tennessee's current underground utility damage prevention program and report to the general assembly no later than January 31, 2020.
