Amends TCA Title 50, Chapter 6, Part 2.

This bill makes several technical changes and clarifications to present law concerning workers' compensation, as follows: (1) Specifies that hearings before a workers' compensation judge for resolution of a dispute concerning the provision of medical care and treatment, medical services or medical benefits, or both must be conducted utilizing the Tennessee Rules of Evidence and the Tennessee Rules of Civil Procedure unless an alternate procedural or evidentiary rule has been adopted by the chief administrative officer of the bureau of workers' compensation of the department of labor and workforce development (the "administrator"); (2) Clarifies one of the present law criteria for an employee to be eligible to request vocational recovery assistance from the subsequent injury and vocational recovery fund from having received all compensation permitted for permanent partial disability to having received the final payment for permanent partial disability compensation; (3) Extends eligibility for vocational recovery assistance to include injuries occurring through June 30, 2025. Under present law, the vocational recovery assistance program only applies to injuries occurring through June 30, 2021; and (4) Specifies that workers' compensation judges are authorized to conduct judicial settlement conferences.
