ON MARCH 29, 2021, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 139, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 rewrites this bill to exempt tow trucks that are responding to an emergency call received from a law enforcement agency from present law that generally makes it a Class C misdemeanor to operate a vehicle on the shoulder or right-of-way of a state highway.
