Amends TCA Title 71, Chapter 1, Part 1.
ON APRIL 21, 2021, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 132, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 rewrites this bill and requires the commissioner of human services to include in the annual block grant report submitted pursuant to present law, information detailing the department's access to the use of federal TANF funds. The report must include information detailing the department's access and use of federal TANF funds during the previous federal fiscal year, subtotaled by the four purposes of the TANF program, as described by federal regulation, for which the funds were expended, including overall spending and the number of contracts though which services or assistance were provided in furtherance of each respective purpose. ON FEBRUARY 14, 2022, THE HOUSE SUBSTITUTED SENATE BILL 132 FOR HOUSE BILL 136, ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 132, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 changes this bill's effective date from July 1, 2021, to July 1, 2022.
