Amends TCA Title 5, Chapter 16 and Title 12, Chapter 9.

ON MARCH 8, 2021, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 614, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 rewrites this bill to provide each member of a board created pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act for the purpose of providing service to two or more counties with up to $300 per month compensation, the exact amount of which will be determined by resolution of such board. This bill also authorizes such boards to adopt a resolution that entitles board members to: (1) Participate in the group medical insurance plan and group life insurance plan provided to board employees; (2) Reimbursement of premiums paid for equivalent or similar insurance coverage in which the board member participates, not exceed the per person cost of the insurance coverage the board provides its own employees; or (3) The reimbursement of premiums paid for medical insurance coverage by medicare and any medicare supplemental insurance policy.
