Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 4; Title 63 and Title 68.
This bill authorizes a patient who is 21 years old or older to possess and use RSO oil (a full extract cannabis oil containing THC ingested orally or used topically) in this state if the patient possesses: (1) A letter from the patient's primary care or treating physician stating that the patient has cancer, that the physician has discussed the risks of use of RSO oil with the patient, that the patient accepts the risks and waives liability of the physician relating to the use of RSO oil; and that is signed and dated by both the patient and the physician in each other's presence. This letter will only be valid for one year from the date of signing; and (2) Proof the RSO oil was purchased at retail in a jurisdiction where the sale of RSO is lawful.
