Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 13, Part 7.
Under present law, the Tennessee Standardized Treatment Program for Sex Offenders requires that sex offenders submit to an evaluation for treatment developed by the sex offender treatment board. Sex offenders who require such evaluation and treatment are individuals who have been convicted of certain sex offenses including rape, rape of a child, aggravated rape, solicitation of a minor, and sexual exploitation of a minor. This bill adds the following to the list of sex offenses that make a person subject to the standardized treatment plan as a "sex offender": (1) Trafficking for commercial sex act; (2) Patronizing prostitution from a person who is younger than 18 years of age or has an intellectual disability; (3) Promoting the prostitution of a minor; (4) Criminal attempt, conspiracy, or solicitation to commit any of the above offenses; and (5) Criminal responsibility for the facilitation of a felony when the specific felony facilitated is any of the above offenses.
