Amends TCA Title 40, Chapter 11.

Under present law, a judgment for forfeiture of bail may be entered against a surety 180 days after the surety is served with a writ giving notice that the defendant violated the terms of bail bond. The state may seek execution of the judgment 30 days after the entry of the order. This bill adds that, if the governor declares a state of emergency, then a forfeiture does not become final in a court located within the area that has been declared to be in a state of emergency until 180 days after the expiration of that declaration for the affected area.
