Amends TCA Section 40-11-118.
ON APRIL 18, 2022, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #3 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 457, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #3 makes it discretionary for the clerk to accept a deposit by means of a debit card or mobile cash application, and removes the provisions for payment via credit card or "internet" cash application. This amendment also authorizes the clerk, if the clerk accepts such methods of payment, to charge a fee to pay for any cost charged to the clerk for accepting the applicable method of payment.
