Amends TCA Title 64, Chapter 1, Part 2.
Under present law, the Chickasaw Basin Authority applies to Shelby and Tipton counties. This bill extends authorization to participate in the authority's programs to all counties in the drainage area of the Wolf and Loosahatchie Rivers and Nonconnah and Horn Lake Creeks. A county's legislative body must pass a resolution and be approved by the authority's board of commissioners before being permitted to participate in the authority's programs.
