ON MARCH 15, 2021, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 476, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 rewrites this bill to make it a Class A misdemeanor offense for a person to attempt to access or obtain confidential information from the department of children's services regarding alleged child abuse or neglect that the person knows is in violation of state or federal laws and regulations regarding confidentiality.
