Amends TCA Title 37; Title 39; Title 40 and Title 49.

Present law includes the following provisions concerning "crimes against the person": (1) A district attorney general may petition a sentencing court to request denial of suspension of sentence based on an offender's threat to public safety as indicated by a pattern of prior violent criminal behavior evidenced by convictions for at least two crimes against the person; (2) Persons convicted of a felony crime against the person are ineligible for community corrections; and (3) Cases involving crimes against the person are given judicial and prosecutorial priority over cases involving property crimes. This bill classifies aggravated burglary and especially aggravated burglary as crimes against the person.
