ON APRIL 5, 2021, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 1514, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 deletes another reference to the 925 person population threshold from present law to clarify that this bill reduces the population threshold, from 925 to 700, to make a municipality eligible to hold a referendum on the sale of alcoholic beverages.
