This bill: (1) Specifies that the following are not subject to seizure under the present law provisions governing confiscation of narcotic drugs: hemp; any isolates or derivatives of hemp (other than THC); and hemp-derived products that do not contain more than 0.3 percent of THC; and (2) Prohibits law enforcement or another person acting under the direction, supervision, or authority of law enforcement from searching a person based solely upon the odor of cannabis, including an odor of any emission produced only by the burning or vaporization of the cannabis plant.
