Amends TCA Title 49.

This bill requires the commissioner of education to employ three assistant commissioners, one each to provide specialized support to local education agencies (LEAs) based on the rural, urban, or suburban areas served by the LEA. Each such assistant commissioner must: (1) Have experience teaching or serving as an administrator in at least one LEA located in the assistant commissioner's particular areas of the state (rural, urban, or suburban, as applicable); (2) Possess knowledge of the unique challenges, strengths, opportunities, and needs of LEAs serving the assistant commissioner's particular areas; and (3) Serve as a liaison and resource for directors for schools and boards of education for LEAs serving the assistant commissioner's particular areas.
