ON MARCH 7, 2022, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 1765, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 specifies that charitable organizations under this bill include those registered with the secretary of state and makes this bill applicable to services (which is food, housing, or shelter from adverse weather) provided to "the community" instead of the "homeless community."
