ON FEBRUARY 24, 2022, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 1724, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 clarifies that the board of regents consists of 19, rather than 18, members. Present law requires that the board's meetings be made available for viewing by the public over the internet by streaming video accessible from the board's website and that archived videos of the board's meetings are also available to the public through the board's website. This bill extends the video streaming and archiving requirements to meetings of the board's standing committees.
