Amends TCA Title 40, Chapter 20, Part 1.
This bill removes the following present law provisions: (1) The requirement that the department of correction notify the board of parole when inmates sentenced to consecutive sentences that require custodial parole consideration reach parole eligibility on their initial sentences; (2) The requirement for the board of parole to determine when the inmate will begin service of the inmate's consecutive sentence; (3) The provision whereby no parole certificate will be required, and the inmate must be heard for parole when eligible on the inmate's consecutive sentence; (4) The authorization for the board to begin custodial parole effective on any date on or after the custodial parole eligibility date; and (5) The provision whereby a bona fide offer of employment is not required for custodial parole.
