Amends TCA Title 55, Chapter 12.
Present law requires a transportation network company driver logged on to the transportation network company's digital network but is not engaged in a prearranged ride to have primary automobile liability insurance of at least $50,000 for death and bodily injury per person, $100,000 for death and bodily injury per incident, and $25,000 for property damage. Also, present law requires a transportation network company driver engaged in a prearranged ride to have primary automobile insurance that provides for at least $1 million for death, bodily injury, and property damage.<br /> <br /> This bill requires a transportation network company driver, whether engaged in a prearranged ride or not, to have uninsured and underinsured motorist insurance of $50,000 for death and bodily injury per person, $100,000 for death and bodily injury per incident, and $25,000 for property damage in addition to the primary automobile insurance requirements. <br />
