ON APRIL 4, 2022, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 1964, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 removes language from this bill that specifically authorizes remote learning drills to be conducted during or after school hours, prohibits an LEA from requiring or asking a student to transition to remote learning at any time during a remote learning drill conducted by the LEA, and removes this bill's requirements concerning making textbooks and instructional materials electronically accessible and designed to support remote learning.
