Amends TCA Title 4; Title 12; Title 69, Chapter 9 and Title 70.

This bill revises several provisions concerning the sale of surplus property from the Tennessee wildlife resources agency.<br /> <br /> This bill adds a notice requirement whereby sales of forfeited property, including motor vehicles, forfeited under the fish and wildlife boating laws, and sales of interests in energy-related resources, including, but not limited to, coal, natural gas, or oil, by or on behalf of the Tennessee fish and wildlife commission or the Tennessee wildlife resources agency (TWRA) must be continuously and publicly advertised on the department of general service's website for the 90-day period immediately preceding the date of the sale.<br /> <br /> Under present law, the proceeds derived from the sale of any property, real or personal, purchased in the name of the wildlife resources agency must be deposited in the wildlife resources fund. This bill requires that the proceeds from the sale of any real property be deposited in the wildlife resources fund and the proceeds from the sale of any personal property, including contraband subject to seizure and forfeiture, be deposited in the state general fund. <br /> <br /> Under present law, it is generally a Class A misdemeanor for any state official or employee to purchase from the state except by bid at public auction or by internet auction, using a personal computer on personal time, any surplus property during the tenure of such person's office or employment, or for six months thereafter. This bill specifies that such provisions apply to members of the fish and wildlife commission and TWRA employees.<br />
