Amends TCA Title 10, Chapter 7, Part 5 and Title 39.
This bill creates the following Class A misdemeanor offenses: (1) It will be an offense for a person to intentionally post, publish, or disseminate the personal information, such as the home address, of a participant in a legal proceeding, including a law enforcement officer, judge, or attorney, among others specified in this bill, on the internet with the intent to intimidate the participant and the dissemination of the personal information intimidates the participant; and (2) It will be an offense to recklessly post, publish, or disseminate the personal information of a participant in a legal proceeding on the internet for the purpose of intimidating the participant and the person knew or should have known that a reasonable person would be intimidated by the dissemination of the personal information.
