ON APRIL 1, 2021, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 5492, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 adds a requirement that the department of children's services appear before the education, health and general welfare joint subcommittee no later than December 31, 2021, to update the committee on the department's progress in addressing the findings in the December 2020 performance audit.
