ON MARCH 22, 2021, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 115, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 broadens the scope of this bill to apply when the conviction is for "a human trafficking offense," which includes the following offenses: involuntary labor servitude, trafficking persons for forced labor or services, trafficking for commercial sex act, and promoting the prostitution of a minor.
