ON MARCH 14, 2022, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 160, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 rewrites this bill and requires, on or before January 1, 2023, and on or before January 1 of each subsequent year, the department of revenue to submit a report to the finance, ways and means committees of the senate and the house outlining the actual costs incurred by the department for the administration and collection of the local option sales tax.
