This bill requires that routine mammogram screenings be offered every two years at no cost to inmates housed in correctional institutions. Also, this bill requires the department of correction to create and make available to inmates an educational program providing information on the importance of preventative healthcare measures, including breast self-examinations and mammogram screenings. This bill will take effect January 1, 2022.
