Amends TCA Section 6-54-903 and Section 7-82-309.
Present law requires that all travel and expense reimbursement policies of municipalities and utility districts must be filed with the comptroller's office. The policies are not subject to the approval of, but cannot take effect until filed with, the comptroller's office. This bill changes present law by requiring that all such policies be made available for review and audit by the comptroller's office, instead of requiring that the policies are filed with the comptroller's office before taking effect.
