Amends TCA Title 56, Chapter 57 and Title 71.

Present law provides for the implementation of a prescription drug discount plan, known as “Volunteer Rx,” to assist in providing, when possible, cost savings on medications for uninsured Tennesseans, or for insured Tennesseans whose insurance does not provide for prescription drug coverage. This bill requires that beginning October 1, 2021, the discount program include coverage for FDA-approved smoking cessation products.
