Amends TCA Title 37 and Title 41.

This bill requires youth development centers and detention centers for children to teach the following curricula to the children held in the center: (1) Instruction on applying for a job and creating a resume; (2) Sexual health education; (3) Guidance for rehabilitation from alcohol and drug abuse; (4) Trauma response understanding; and (5) Guidance for financial management. This bill requires the department of children's services, in consultation with the department of education and the department of mental health and substance abuse services, to develop the curricula taught, pursuant to (1)-(5). This bill takes effect January 1, 2022.
