Amends TCA Section 11-1-101; Section 11-3-107; Section 59-8-404 and Section 59-8-308.
ON MARCH 8, 2021, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 741, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 revises this bill in part to authorize park rangers and other law enforcement officers within the department of environment conservation to operate outside parks and other specific areas to provide both law enforcement and search and rescue assistance at the request of federal, state, or local officials if such assistance is necessary for the protection of life, health, or safety.
