Amends TCA Title 4, Chapter 57; Title 5, Chapter 9 and Title 43, Chapter 21.
Present law authorizes the Tennessee state fair and exposition commission to advise, facilitate, and coordinate with the Tennessee State Fair Association for the purpose of the Tennessee State Fair Association operating, managing, and conducting at least one fair or exposition annually, under the supervision of the commission, with such additional fairs, expositions, or exhibitions as the commission determines are in the general public interest. This bill authorizes the commission to advise, facilitate, and coordinate with Wilson County Promotions, Inc., for the same purposes and in the same manner as with the Tennessee State Fair Association. This bill relocates the state fair from Nashville to Wilson County, and authorizes the state fair's management by Tennessee State Fair Association, Wilson County Promotions, Inc., or both.
