ON APRIL 8, 2021, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 1337, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 rewrites this bill to prohibit the department of children's services from requiring an individual or members of the individual's household to undergo an immunization as a condition of adopting unless the child is under 18 months of age or has significant documented medical needs that would necessitate the caregiver or members of the caregiver's household being immunized.
