Amends TCA Title 62, Chapter 19.
Present law authorizes the Tennessee auctioneer commission to recognize a license issued by any other state to a nonresident auctioneer or affiliate auctioneer if the nonresident auctioneer or affiliate auctioneer is domiciled in the other state that issued the license, the other state reciprocates with Tennessee, and the other state requires passage of an examination as a condition of licensure. The nonresident is still required to secure a license from the commission by paying the license fee and filing of a certified copy of the applicant's license issued by the other state. This bill adds a requirement that a nonresident seeking an auctioneer license by reciprocal agreement must also pass the Tennessee examination as administered by the commission.
