Amends TCA Section 70-2-104.
Present law provides for the issuance of a permanent sport combination hunting and fishing license upon payment of a one-time $10.00 fee to Tennessee residents who are permanently restricted to wheelchairs. This bill extends this provision to allow the issuance of such a license to a Tennessee resident who has suffered an amputation of 75 percent or more of a lower limb. ON MARCH 22, 2021, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 1584, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 adds that a person with an amputation of 75 percent or more of a lower limb may submit a physician's statement, in the same manner required by present law for a person who is permanently restricted to a wheelchair, in order to obtain the discounted hunting and fishing license.
