ON APRIL 8, 2021, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 1603, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 adds authorization for Benton County's legislative body to increase the county's severance tax on sand, gravel, limestone, and other mineral products from five cents per ton to 15 cents per ton.
