Amends TCA Title 68, Chapter 140, Part 3.
Under this bill, a licensed Tennessee ambulance service with full-time employed emergency medical services personnel who successfully complete an annual in-service training course of at least 40 hours duration at a training center will receive a pay supplement of $800 from the board of emergency medical services to be paid to the full-time emergency medical services personnel who complete the training course requirements in addition to the personnel's regular salary. An emergency service personnel who served, or serves, on active duty in the armed forces of the United States during any period of armed conflict prescribed by presidential proclamation or federal law will receive the supplement, if such service prevented, or prevents, such personnel from attending the in-service training program.
