Amends TCA Title 39; Title 49 and Title 50.

This bill repeals provisions governing storage of firearms or firearm ammunition in motor vehicles by concealed handgun carry or enhanced handgun carry permit holders. Generally, under present law, the holder of an enhanced handgun carry permit or concealed handgun carry permit may transport and store a firearm or firearm ammunition in the permit holder's motor vehicle while on or utilizing any public or private parking area if: (1) The motor vehicle is parked in a location where it is permitted to be; and (2) The firearm or ammunition being transported or stored is kept from ordinary view while the permit holder is in the vehicle; or kept from ordinary observation and locked inside or in a secure container outside the vehicle when the permit holder is not in the vehicle. This bill repeals the above-described authorization for permit holders to store firearms or ammunition in their motor vehicle.
