ON APRIL 27, 2022, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 2078, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 rewrites the bill to increase from 0.5344 percent to 0.88 percent the portion of the state gasoline tax apportioned for distribution to the wildlife resources fund. This amendment specifies that in addition to any other purposes authorized by law for which such funds may be used, the gas tax funds apportioned to the wildlife resources fund must also be used for public and environmental infrastructure at marinas.
