Amends TCA Section 68-11-239.
ON MARCH 17, 2022, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 2857, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 adds a revision to present law in regard to credentials held by a person to practice as a central service technician. Present law requires an individual seeking to practice as a central service technician to obtain a certified registered central service technician credential no later than two years after the person's date of hire or contracting for services. This amendment allows an individual the option to obtain a certified sterile processing and distribution technician credential instead of a certified registered central service technician credential.
