Amends TCA Title 67, Chapter 4, Part 17.

Present law levies a privilege tax in the amount of $400 per year on persons licensed or registered as agents, broker-dealers, investment advisers, osteopathic physicians, physicians, and attorneys. Under this bill, occupation tax will not apply to any person who is retired from a profession that is subject to the tax; provided, that a person may engage in such work as a volunteer without being compensated and maintain the person's retired status.
