Amends TCA Title 55, Chapter 50.

This bill allows a foreign language interpreter approved by the department of safety to assist an applicant in translating the driver license exam when the applicant does not read or understand English or the exam is unavailable in the applicant's primary language. The bill prohibits an interpreter from charging a fee or receiving any other compensation for the service. In lieu of an interpreter, this bill also allows an applicant to use a device that is capable of digital translation.
