ON MARCH 7, 2022, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 2746, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 limits this bill's requirements concerning checking for, serving, or providing notice to agencies holding criminal warrants to situations where a sheriff, deputy sheriff, or constable is serving an order of protection or ex parte order of protection, instead of any civil process.
