ON MARCH 24, 2022, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 2771, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 rewrites this bill to require the department of safety, in consultation with local law enforcement agencies, to produce informational material on how to interact with law enforcement when a person is being pulled over. The full text of this amendment specifies four subjects that may be addressed in the informational material. The provisions of this amendment take effect October 1, 2022, the public welfare requiring it.
