Amends TCA Title 63, Chapter 6, Part 2 and Title 68.
This bill prohibits physicians and any other persons who are authorized to provide a vaccination for COVID-19 from providing a patient who is an unemancipated minor with medical treatment without first obtaining written consent from the parent or legal guardian of the minor or pursuant to an appropriate court order, except in cases where: (1) A person is acting pursuant to the Good Samaritan Law; (2) A physician is providing drug abuse treatment, emergency surgical or medical treatment, or prenatal and peripartum care to a juvenile without parental consent, as authorized by present law; or (3) Care is being provided to a minor's child pursuant to the minor's consent, as authorized by present law.
