Amends TCA Title 2.
This bill requires that each county election commission include on the November 2024 election ballot the following questions: <br /> <br /> (1) Should the State of Tennessee legalize medical marijuana? YES or NO;<br /> <br /> (2) Should the State of Tennessee decriminalize possession of less than one ounce of marijuana? YES or NO; and <br /> <br /> (3) Should the State of Tennessee legalize and regulate commercial sales of recreational use of marijuana? YES or NO.<br /> <br /> The secretary of state is required to compile the results of the public policy opinion poll and forward the results to each member of the general assembly. However, this bill clarifies that the outcome of the public policy opinion poll is not binding on the general assembly. <br />
