Amends TCA Title 49.

This bill requires a special account, known as the school safety technology fund, to be established and administered by the department of finance and administration to provide local education agencies with the funding necessary to purchase the technology platform necessary to assist schools in performing routine checks of school building doors to ensure that the doors are locked. The money appropriated to this fund must be deposited for the sole purpose of purchasing the technology. If the money in the fund is not fully expended, then it should not revert to the general fund, but be carried forward until expended. The department is authorized to promulgate rules to effectuate this fund.<br />
